This session will equip attendees to deal with basic taxation issues concerning trusts, including trust deed and trust resolution drafting and advising on taxation issues involving trusts.
The tax regime for trusts is complex with numerous pitfalls which can have adverse, and material, tax impacts for clients.
Practitioners advising on trusts must be able to recognize key trust tax issues and must be able to draft trust deeds and trust resolutions to ensure these adverse consequences do not arise. This session is intended to equip practitioners with the basic tools to advise their clients on key trust tax issues and draft appropriate trust deeds and trustee resolutions.

He advises clients on the tax implications of corporate transactions and has had extensive experience advising on a trust tax matters. Sanjay has practised taxation law in both Australia and the US, and has a Master of Laws in Taxation from New York University.
