This session will cover how to find, browse, and search secondary sources on Westlaw Australia. It will discuss the different types of secondary sources including journals and commentaries, as well as highlighting the various research methods for locating information.

Learn how to efficiently locate cases by using citations, party names, keywords, or by legal topics using the Key Number system. Understand the KeyCite tabs to identify the status of a case, to see the citing references and authorities used, and if the case has any litigation history.

This session will explain how to use the Cases Advanced search template to find Cases by keywords as well as using the case search fields in the template. We recommend attending the Introduction to Caselaw Research webinar prior to attending this course.
